Register Now for Pennsylvania State Tryouts!!

Players from PA will have an opportunity to play against teams from all over the world.  What makes State Wars so great is players from all over the state having an opportunity to play together and for different coaches from different organizations to be involved. If anyone from your organization is interested in coaching please let us know.  Once teams are selected and we see the rosters then we start assigning coaches.

Here is some info some may ask about tryouts and State Wars:

• How do I register for tryouts?  Here is LINK
• What is the cost to tryout?  $60 is the tryout fee, players willreceive an official State Wars tryout jersey along with their tryout time.  If not selected a player will receive a full refund.
• Who will be selecting the players?  The State Wars staff will be an unbiased selection committee with years of hockey and evaluating knowledge.
• How many players are selected in a birth year?  We will select a maximum of 8 skaters and 1 goalie.
• Can a player tryout for an older team along with his birth year?  Yes they can. They only need to register one time, but let us know they want to.
• How many teams can be selected in a birth year at tryouts?  We can select multiple teams.  We have two separate skill level divisions at State Wars, AAA/AA (which splits into AAA and AA for playoffs) and a separate A level.  We can select teams to play in these divisions.
• Will every player at tryouts be selected if #s are light in a division?  No, regardless of the # of players in a birth year, those selected must meet the skill level requirement in comparison to those selected.  Our goal is to always field the best teams we can who will have a good experience at State Wars
• Can a player who cannot attend tryouts still play?  Yes it is possible.  If a player is injured or just cannot attend, here is what they must do:
  • Register online for tryout
  • Email us and let us know they cannot attend and reason
  • After tryouts if there is a spot open we will do research on players who want to play and add the most qualified 
  • If we cannot add a player, they will be refunded.
• What is the cost to play for Team PA if selected?  The cost is $310 this covers:
  • Entry fee into State Wars (minimum 5 games played, can be as many as 7 or 8)
  • Custom Team Pennsylvania home AND away jerseys
  • Custom State Wars Hockey pants
  • Free link to livestream of all games at State Wars
• Where is State Wars held?  SportOne Parkview Icehouse in Fort Wayne, IN.  This facility houses 3 NHL sized air conditioned rinks.
