The Pro's Are in the House

I can’t recall a more star studded Pro lineup “mid season” than we have in store this weekend at Mid West Wars.  Last year we talked about making this tourney THE warmup for all of the pro teams.  I know how hard it is for many of these guys to get back on their wheels and many times their first games are on the biggest stage at summer nationals.  So being able to put together our ‘PAMA Pro Showcase’ this weekend was so ideal for not only the event but for the players.

This weekend we have eight of the top Pro teams in the country competing.  We divided the group into two pools where each team would play all others in their group.  The top 3 of 4 in each pool would advance to the next stage…the playoffs.   The top seeded team in each pool will receive a ‘bye’ to the semi finals which could be key to giving the boys that extra needed rest on Sunday.

Each team this weekend seems pretty even just by looking at the rosters, all are missing some key ingredients and each team has some new bodies getting a chance to impress the coaches.

Just walking around the Silver Creek Sportscenter this evening is a who’s who of incredible roller hockey star power.  KJ Tiefenwerth, Ryan Lemke, Brandon Hawkins, Itan Chavira, Cody Kettler, Brett Leggat, Joey DiMartino, Shawn Gawrys and many many more are on site.
