Team USA Inline NDP Showcase at State Wars!!!

State Wars Hockey is very excited to announce a new partnership and venture with the USA Inline National Development Program (NDP). Our combined goal is to help identify and develop players of potential world class ability and prepare them for international competition. "As head coach for the Team USA Senior Mens team, I personally want to see players and families all across the United States educated about the USA program and give players an avenue to represent their country at future international events" said Tim McManus.

Starting this summer at State Wars we will offer the first ever USA Inline National Development Showcase event. As shown in the map below, we have divided the country into West, Central, and East regions. Players who are playing at State Wars may be selected to represent one of these regions in this showcase and recognized as some of the top players their age in the country.

Players selected will not only play in the showcase and represent Team USA there but will now enter the USA Inline National Development Program pipeline and be given a chance to represent Team USA in future events.

"The goal after this first year’s showcase is to open it up to other countries and make this an international event within State Wars" said Greg Thompson.

HOW ARE PLAYERS SELECTED TO PLAY?

Players chosen for Team World (in the older birth year of the division) the prior summer at State Wars will be given invites first to play in the USA Inline NDP Showcase. All remaining roster spots will be selected based on performance at last years State Wars and from talking to our coaches in the regions.

Players selected will be emailed an invite to play.

DIVISIONS OFFERED IN SHOWCASE?

Teams will be selected in the 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u and 16u divisions.

All ages are based on 2024 age divisions with female players receiving 1 extra year.

ROSTERS SELECTED FOR SHOWCASE?

8 skaters and 2 goalies will be selected for each team

There will 3 teams selected per division (Team USA East, Team USA West and Team USA Central)

In most situations the birth year on the older end of the division will be selected first. Example : 10u is a 2014/2013 division, players born in 2013 will be the focus in most cases, the following year 2014s would then become the prime birth year for the division.

WHEN WILL GAMES BE PLAYED AT STATE WARS?

All showcases games will be played at State Wars.

Each team will play 2 showcase games (East vs West, West vs Central, Central vs East)

All games will be played in ONE day, the day after their division ends at State Wars.

Showcase will play : 8u (8/3), 10u (7/30), 12u (7/26), 14u (7/26), 16u (7/30)

WHAT IS THE COST TO PLAY IN SHOWCASE?

Cost is $99 for skaters and $50 for goalies

All players will play 2 games and receive a custom National Development Team USA jersey
