Senior AA Delivers One of State Wars' Toughest Divisions

If there was any doubt about the depth of the Senior AA Division at State Wars, the round robin put those questions to rest. Every game has been highly competitive, proving that there are no easy matchups in one of the tournament's deepest fields.

After an exciting opening round, CarShield (Missouri) earned the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs. Motor City Dawgs (Michigan) secured the No. 2 seed, followed closely by Extra Crispy (Ohio) in third and the Connecticut Coasters (Connecticut) rounding out the top four.

Offensively, Jason Tackett and Nick Okada of Extra Crispy have been setting the pace, each finishing the preliminary round with 8 points to lead the division.

Perhaps the biggest sign of just how stacked this field is? A powerhouse like Labeda FREEZ didn't qualify for the playoffs.. When a perennial contender is on the outside looking in, it speaks volumes about the parity and talent throughout the Senior AA Division.

Now the real fun begins.

The Senior AA playoffs start today, and if the round robin was any indication, every game will be a battle. With top seeds looking to defend their position and every remaining team believing they have a shot at the title, everyone should expect fast-paced, physical hockey and plenty of drama as the Semior AA Championship is on the line.
