Please Help our friends in Hendersonville!

by Tim McManus

Hendersonville Inline Hockey Association (HIHA), a youth in-line hockey league operating two outdoor rinks located just north of Nashville, recently received damage to both rinks located in Veteran's Park in Hendersonville, TN.

The damage completely destroyed both rinks, ripping down the boards and floating the VersaCourt surface around and out of the rinks. Some tiles have been found more than a mile away from the rinks. HIHA's Board of Directors, with the assistance of Hendersonville Parks Department and Hendersonville Fire Department, are currently attempting to restore at least one of the two rinks to a usable condition for the upcoming Spring 2019 season with games set to start on March 30.

Community volunteers started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the recovery effort ( to repair one of the two rinks. Funds donated through this link are tax deductible and donors will automatically receive a tax deductible receipt when contributing through this link (HIHA is a 501(c)(3) non profit).

Multiple news sources have done coverage of the devastation and cleanup efforts which are currently underway; links to their stories can be found at the end of this message.

HIHA and the Board of Directors would greatly appreciate your consideration of a donation, in any amount, so that we may once again serve the youth in our community as we have for the last 10+ years.
