A Full Day of Action at the PSM Icehouse Sets the Stage for State Wars

The excitement continued to build today at the PSM Icehouse as another action-packed day brought together players, coaches, families, and staff from around the world. While the games are always the main attraction, today proved that State Wars is about so much more than what happens on the rink.

The day began with coaches meetings as teams finalized preparations and game plans for the days ahead. From there, the focus shifted to our first Bauer Hockey Skills Competitions, where players had the opportunity to showcase their individual talents. With events including Fastest Skater, Accuracy Shooting, Top Sniper, Obstacle Course, and Top Goalie, the competition was fierce and the energy inside the building was electric.

As the day continued, we celebrated the achievements of our athletes during awards presentations, recognizing the standout performances from players from across two different age groups. Seeing players from across North America and around the world cheering each other on is one of the many things that makes State Wars such a special event.

Behind the scenes, countless volunteers and staff members worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure everything ran smoothly. It's a reminder that putting on an event of this magnitude truly takes a team effort.

The PAMA Pro Play-In gets underway tomorrow as teams battle for the opportunity to earn their place in the prestigious PAMA Pro Invitational. Only the teams that rise to the occasion will move on to face the top teams in our sport! Good luck to everyone competing! 

Now it's finally time to get some much-needed rest—but not for long.

The alarm clocks will be ringing early, as our crew heads to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum before sunrise. Beginning at 5:00 a.m., the massive task of installing the playing surface gets underway to prepare the arena for tomorrow's opening games. It's a long day ahead, but one we're excited for as the Coliseum comes to life in time for the first puck drop at 3:20 p.m.

Excitement is growing by the hour, and we can't wait to welcome everyone to another unforgettable day of State Wars Hockey.
