6U Division Takes Center Stage at State Wars

The future of our sport officially hit the floor today as the 6U Division began play at State Wars. The smiles, excitement, and energy around the rink were impossible to miss, reminding everyone why youth hockey is such a special part of this event. From first-time tournament players to young athletes already showing impressive skill, the opening day was a celebration of the next generation of inline hockey.

Two teams set the early pace in the standings. Southern California and Missouri both finished the day with perfect 2-0 records, putting themselves in a strong position heading into the next round of games. Each squad displayed great teamwork, effort, and enthusiasm throughout the day.

Individually, Owen Smith (Ontario) had a standout performance and currently leads the division in scoring with an incredible 10 points. Smith was involved in the offense all day long and quickly became one of the players to watch in the tournament.

While wins and points are exciting, the biggest takeaway from Day 1 was seeing so many young players enjoying the game, making new friends, and experiencing the atmosphere of State Wars. These athletes represent the future of inline hockey, and today showed that the future is very bright.

The 6U action continues tomorrow, and if the opening day was any indication, there will be plenty more memorable moments still to come.
